The First Chinese-Foreign Cooperatively-run Educational Project Approved

Recently, the Ministry of Education released the approval results for the new batch of Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run educational programs in 2026. The three-year diploma program in electrical automation technology jointly launched by our College and Edmonds College of the United States has been successfully approved. This marks the College’s first Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run educational program. This major breakthrough is a milestone in advancing the College’s internationalization.

This program adopts the "3+0" training model with all courses delivered domestically, enrolling 100 students annually. Upon completing all credits specified in the talent training program, students will be awarded a college diploma in electrical automation technology issued by our College, as well as a certificate of completion from Edmonds College of the United States.

The program will introduce the U.S. partner’s curriculum system for electrical automation technology majors. Adopting a talent training philosophy of "post competency-oriented, work-study integrated, dual-track advancement", it strives to cultivate senior technical professionals in electrical automation with an international vision. Centered on serving the development of Guangyuan City and the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle, the program will supply internationally competent technical personnel for the electrical industry of Sichuan Province.

The successful approval of this program further opens up new avenues for international vocational education cooperation. Moving forward, the College will continue to implement its international education development plan, deepen cooperation with overseas institutions in joint training of technical and skilled personnel, collaborative technological research and development, as well as exchange visits between faculty and students. It will steadily improve the quality of international technical and skilled talent cultivation and boost the high-quality development of vocational education during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
